RESQ-Challenge #5!

Wow I can't believe RESQ-Challenge has been up and running for a month! Seems like only yesterday we decided to just go for it!

This week's challenge is from Jacqueline...GLITTER and GLITZ! Ok, if you know me you know that glitter and I have a LOVE-HATE relationship (mostly HATE)....I just can never make it work! Stickles I can deal with but when we start getting into heat and stick powder and fine glitter, I just can't hold the ball! I TRIED to use the heat and stick powder on the dotted background here...I stamped in rose red and then covered it with versamark (yes, I ruined the versamark pad, it's pink now)...then added the heat and stick, heated , added the dazzling diamonds, and heated.....

yeah, where the heck is the glitter? Well, it's on my floor, my dog and ME! I have no idea what I'm doing wrong! So I added some stickles to the sash and necklace and there ya go! This card is also for the color challenge today (rose red, pink pirouette, and basic grey) on SCS...
PS it looks like the image is crooked but I checked, it's just how the picture came out, I swear!
recipe: Stamps - Unity April KOTM, papertrey Ink Mega Mixed Messages
cardstock - pink pirouette, rose red, basic grey PTI white
ink - rose red, memento london fog, versafine black, versamark
accessories - stickles, heat and stick powder, dazzling diamonds, ribbon, safety pin

Thanks for the awesome challenge Jacq!

On another note....I heard that Jacqueline is cooking up a new challenge for Tuesdays on the RES-Q-Challenge blog....STAY TUNED for more ways to RES-Q your stamping MOJO!

RES-Q Challenge #4...

WOW! We are going on RES-Q-Challenge #4! Pat (casep) has a great one for us this week...all about DIAMONDS!
We had to choose a cut, color and carat for our card and follow her plans for each one. I chose:
1. cut- square (my own engagement ring is a princess cut...love it!)
2. color- I just loved the vivid blue one so my colors were to be blue, green, yellow and white
3. carat- well, the bigger the better, right? I chose 3 carats and used buttons on mine.

recipe:
stamps- Papertrey ink Green Thumb, Mega Mixed Messages
paper- SU DSP, PTI white, bashful blue, wild wasabi, apricot appeal
ink- apricot appeal, bashful blue, wild wasabi, palette noir black
accessories- PTI buttons, fiber, word window punch, wide ribbon, mini pearls

You can see the actual challenge here, stay and RES-Q your stamping Mojo!

RES-Q Challenge #3

Well, we are going on RES-Q-Challenge #3! This week is JoAnn's turn to hostess and she has come up with a fabulous challenge to go with our new April theme, Daisies and Diamonds! We had to use brown as a primary color and one accessory color, the colors of gerbera daisies (red, orange, yellow or pink). And we had to incorporate diamonds...so here is what I came up with...

This one I actually made the main panel a diamond, as well as the diamond scored BG.
recipe: SU chocolate chip, real red, PTI white cardstock; Papertrey Ink Damask Designs; EK success border punch; scor-pal,; white gel pen; red grosgrain ribbon; versamark; white EP

For this one I went with the scored diamond BG again but I used Coredinations paper (the paper has a different color center) and sanded over the cored part. Cool, huh?

recipe: Coredinations cardstock, SU chocolate chip, PTI white CS; Papertrey ink Anniversary set; scor-pal; satin ribbon; dew drops; SU apricot appeal, chocolate chip, black ink

Thanks so much for joining us!
See you next Monday!
