very early here...

My kids have had a little virus all week, makes it hard to get some stamping done! Here is a few challenges I did this week on SCS:

This is for the Technique lovers challenge to make a diorama card. I almost skipped ti thinking it was too complicated but the directions were really easy!

This is for the color challenge this week...lovely lilac, pretty in pink, and certainly celery...very springy!  I made this acetate card using a stamp from Magnolia stamps I received from a friend in the UK!

This is for the sketch challenge, a very interesting one too! I used this Rubber Romance girl on the beach and went for a beachy look...
Until next time....ENJOY!

Pink Cat Stamps

I just received new stamps from Pink Cat Studios, this one is from Dress up Lily...I paid $1 extra to have it personalized so my set is called Dress Up Giavanna!

This is from the Lingerie set...one of the sentiments included is "You lift me up!" How cute is that!? I made these for my girlfriends as Mother's Day cards.

This one is from the Retro 50's set...I used liquid applique on the "whipped cream" Yum!
The stamps came very quickly considering they came from Canada and they are packaged really nicely (and are not very expensive either!). The owner of the company even sends and email to tell you to send her a picture of your creations so she can include them in the gallery! AND....you get Pink Cat points! 1 point per dollar spent, plus points for referring someone, points for adding a card to the gallery and more! Then you can redeem points for money off your next order. Very cool!
So if you head over to their site, check it out and tell them Denise sent ya!

my little star

In honor of yesterday's National Scrapbooking Day.....

I scrapped.....NOTHING! Nope not one layout. I did finish a few Mother's Day cards to mail out but that's it. My little guy was sick and had a fever so I spent most of the day sitting with him watching Spongebob (yeah my brain is fried). But I did manage to figure out my iMovie program and uploaded my very first video! This will certainly make up for my lack of artwork today...ENJOY!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

Well, I guess you could say today is a HOLY day for me!
HAPPY NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY!
scrapbooking_supplies.gif
I am working on a few layouts and making some Mother's Day gifts with my scrapping Partner in Crime....GIA (my 4 1/2 y/o DD). I actually video taped her making a card, she is a riot! Once I figure out how to upload to YouTube I will get that up here. I am also trying to figure it out to do some video tutorials soon, so stay tuned for that.
For today I have  some cards I made to go with a Card Kit Swap I did on SCS. What a fun kind of swap! All I had to do was supply 2 stamped images (uncolored), 2 6X6 patterned or solid papers, one card base (4 1/4 X 5 1/2), one foot of coordinating ribbon and one additional embellishment. I made cards as examples to go with mine and included a picture for each participant. Then I will get back a BUNCH of card kits all ready to be colored and glued together. HOW COOL IS THAT?!

Tomorrow I will post whatever I do today (I hope!)

Have a WONDERFUL and CREATIVE day!
