RES-Q Challenge #2

This is the second week of RES-Q- challenges! This week is brought to us by Michelle...a beautiful set of china and a gorgeous tea pot! So springy! I went with the pastel colors and this DP reminded me of the stripes around the edge of the dishes. I just received this image from my friend Carrie in a trade just this week...so cute!

Recipe: stamp (I think) is Penny Black, Papertrey Ink mega mixed messages; DP- DCVW, pink pirouette, soft sky, PTI white cardstock; copic markers; Martha Stewart border punch, sheer ribbon

Res-Q Challenge!

I am sooo excited!

Today is the start of a new challenge blog started by myself and my peeps from SCS. We will have weekly challenges, take turns hostessing, and invite ANYONE with an idea to hostess as well! Come on over and

Our first challenge is from Jean (naturecoastcrafter)...going by your month of birth, go on a scavenger hunt for the following: sketch, stamps, color scheme, and embellishments

Here is mine:

Recipe: Papertrey Ink 2009 Anniversary set; Cardstock- SU Real Red, Pink Pirouette, Tempting Turquoise, PTI white; Ink- versafine black, tempting turquoise, real red, versamark; black gingham ribbon, spiral clip, gemmed butterfly that fell off my DD's princess crown (shh, don't tell her)

I scavenged...

- the color scheme from Pat (casep)- tempting turquoise, real red and pink pirouette in this super cool card

- the stamps from Lee (LuvLee)- I went with the bird theme from this awesome card

- the ribbon and hardware idea from this card of Jacqueline's

- and the sketch...well, I didn't want to scavenge off myself so I made up a new sketch: (I can't seem to post it now, I'm working on it though...)

Feel free to case it (or any other sketch) to play the Res-Q challenge! And don't forget to use the keyword RESQ01 so we can all see it! See you next week for some more daring Mojo RES-Q's!

4 Years flew by...

Today is my baby's 4th birthday! I am in shock...I still remember this little blueberry...

My little man had jaundice and facial bruising when he was born ('cause his face was right up against my cervix for 2 months!) but he was still the most beautiful thing (to me anyway!).

And here is my baby now...

And the question he asked me today was, "Now I'm a man, right ma?"

"Uh, yeah sure dude..."

March Madness!

March is always a busy month for me...so many birthdays (including my son and me!) Despite that I have been keeping up with the daily challenges on SCS...

I am trying (madly) to catch up to the present on my blog. I don't want my blog to just be here's what I did this week because in reality, I do ALOT in a week! I am working out the kinks on making videos so I have a bunch of tutorials ready to record as soon as I get it nailed down. I am planning on posting some sketches I have done also...for cards and scrapbooking . I also hope to get some more followers! So if you wanna follow, please do and give me a heads up on something you would like to see here! Thanks, see you soon!
