In addition to the things I made for SCS and Res-Q-Challenge for World Card Making Day, I also did all 4 challenges over at Papertrey ink! I told you it was raining yesterday!
For the first challenge, Nichole took us away to Japan! I was inspired by the Japanese flag which is all white with a red circle in the center. Along with that, the flowers from the Floral Fusion set gave a really nice Asian flair to this simple card.
recipe: stamps Papertrey ink Floral Fusion, TAC crackle BG
paper- PTI White, pure poppy
ink- pure poppy, berry sorbet, black, chai
accessories- paper piercer
The next challenge took us to Mexico! Nichole hinted about Mexican tiles and I just couldn't get it out of my head! After I showed this card to my hubby he said it made him think of our local Mexican Restaurant, Pancho's Border Cafe...I guess I got it right!
recipe: stamps- Papertrey Ink Guide Lines II, Star Prints, Background Basics Text (yellow panel), Friends till the End (blue panel), Little Lady (small orange flower)
paper- crushed curry, dusty durango, white, ballet blue
ink- ballet blue, dusty durango, crushed curry, black
accessories- edge distresser
Next we were off to India and were challenged to use rhinestones on our card. I was going for a Sari kinda thing, but in the end I disliked the card so much I kept adding stuff. I hate when that happens!
paper- only orange, melon mambo, white, gold
ink- only orange, melon mambo, black
accessories- rhinestones (alot!), sheer ribbon, gold cording
And our last stop on this World Card Making Day was Australia! We were challenged to use a white gel pen to make a dotted outline and/or use masking. I kinda did both...I made a dotted outline around the frame of the cupcakes and yes, the cupcakes are all masked! Took a while but I got what I wanted! There are also stickles on the sprinkles but the picture is not showing it clearly....
paper- melon mambo, dark chocolate, white
ink- close to cocoa, pretty in pink, melon mambo, black
accessories- stickles, white gel pen
SO that is FINALLY it for what I did on World Card Making Day!
Whew!
Hope you all had a great day too!

You were one busy little bee :) Great take on the challenges. my favorite was your Japan card. Love everything. It's so pretty :)
Wow, each and every card is so beautiful! The indian one is so rich and I love your take with the cupcakes for Australia. The Japanese one is my favorite, so delicate, like a cherry blossom.
These cards are wonderful, D! I'm sorry I missed the challenges at PTI. I didn't know about them. Thanks for sharing!
