challenges

I promised myself I would start doing the challenges on SCS more often so I could build up my card stash and not be stuck throwing something together at the last minute! I have a bunch of b-days coming up too and this is a great way (like VSN!) to build up my stash!

This one is for the technique challenge...use 2 or more different patterned papers. See, this is something I don;t normally do and I really like how this card turned out (even though the picture is stinky!)

This was for the featured stamper...you CASE something from the featured stampers gallery and change a few things...this was from Maryjo albright's gallery!
This was the color challenge, use black, river rock and white. I had to add in a little coral though...but chekc out my gate fold card! Just got my new Scor-Pal so it was super easy!

Thanks for looking, hope to have more soon!

long time no.....

Blog! Things have been busy here! I have been busy with my SCS partner in crime, Michelle (eliotstamps on SCS) planning, scheduling and organizing things for the next VSN! If you have no idea what I am talking about VSN=Virtual Stamping Night. It;s basically a weekend full of fun stamping challenges brought to you this time by the Fabulous Fashionistas! I have been chosen as a Co-Coordinator with Michelle and let me tell you the lists have been flying! I have always been a list maker so it just comes natural for me. I have been making super secret squirrel stuff that I can't post yet so I will post some things I just finished recently:

I made these little notecard boxes for the kid's teachers for Valentine's day. I used SU very punny and all my scraps that I could find! I got the boxes for $1 at Michael's.

This card was for the sketch challenge this week and for the technique challenge. The green panel was done using the ink, spray and smash technique from my friend Faith. Makes a pretty swirly BG! I used one of my new sets, SU Always. I love the birdie!

This was for the inspiration challenge this week (I was loving the fact that I had a chance to do these challenges this week!) I used an acrylic stamp set by Inkadinkadoo for the bird and the tree is from SU embrace life.

And finally this was for the newest Technique challenge, a pouch made from an envelope! I love this! I fit a BIG handful of nuggets in this baby! I think I'll do this for the kids classmates for Easter. Another new set here, Spring solitude and wheel.

Our next Stamp a Stack is set for February 29th...RSVP as always! Thanks for looking!

cards for SAS

Here are the cards for our next Stamp A Stack on Friday Feb 8th....

This Baby "Onesie" card is a BONUS because Toni's sister in law just had a brand new baby boy last week!
This baby card was a request from one of our regulars (hee hee Michelle)
This Valentine is on an transparency base...fun!
This birthday card is simple but fun!
And finally our "technique" this week is emboss resist...makes a fun valentine, wedding or anniversary card!

Thanks for looking! If you like what you see and live in the Long Island area, give us a call about future Stamp a Stack classes. Just $20 and you make 8 cards (2 of each design). Our next is February 29th (we are skipping March because of Easter and me and Toni have a million birthdays!)

VSN stuff

So here are some of my favorite creations I did for this past VSN....

This was for my challenge to make a candy holder or slider...
This challenge was to use eyelets...
This was to use the list of ingredients which was sooo long you have to actually read it
This was to be inspired by a cute picture of chocolate shoes...(they were pink and brown with polka dots)
This was to use a hat somewhere in your card...
This was to make a panty card (hee hee) I used the templates provided...
This was to make a grid card using only what was left over on your table!
Thanks for looking!

Florida project

Well, I made a few cards in Florida but they are ones that had to get mailed right away! But here is the fantasy box I made. My VSN challenge was to make some kind of candy holder and one talented lady made this...so of course I had to give it a try. It's easier than it looks, really!
